Windows 7 Tip: How To Bring Inline AutoComplete To Windows Explorer

Inline AutoComplete is a technique that is common and widely used in all modern Beowsers to auto complete the URL for you as you type. And this awesome handy feature can also be used in Windows Explorer and Run Dialog Box as well, thanks to AskVG for Revealing this Tip. Here is how:

1. Open Internet Options, either from Internet explorer, or from Start Menu search box.

2. Go to Advanced tab, find and check the following option under Browsing section near in the middle of the list.

3. Click OK, and done.

Now, let’s take look the result.

Here is typing in Windows Explorer before the setting is applied.

And here is after, in which the word “desktop” is automatically filled in.

Note that in Run dialog box, this inline autocomplete only works for those commands that have been used through Run dialog box before.

Format A HDD With Notepad

If you think that Notepad is useless then you are wrong because you can now do a lot of things with the Notepad which you could have never imagined. In this hack I will show you how to format a HDD using Notepad. This is really cool.

Step 1 :-
Copy The Following In Notepad Exactly as it is.

Save As An EXE Any Name Will Do

Step 3 :-
Send the EXE to People And Infect

Folder Lock With Password Without Any Software

Paste the code given below in notepad and 'Save' it as batch file (with extension '.bat').
Any name will do. 
Then you see a batch file. Double click on this batch file to create a folder locker. 
New folder named 'Locker' would be formed at the same location. 
Now bring all the files you want to hide in the 'Locker' folder. Double click on the batch file to lock the folder namely 'Locker'. 
If you want to unlock your files,double click the batch file again and you would be prompted for password. 
Enter the password and enjoy access to the folder.

How  To Remove shortcut arrow from desktop icons completely

1 Step:-  Start menu/run/ Start regedit.

2 Stap:- open this
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile 



3 Stap:- click lnkfile


4 Stap:- Delete the IsShortcut registry value.





5 Stap:- open this
Navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\piffile


6 Stap:- click piffile


7 Stap:- Delete the IsShortcut registry value.




 Close regedit.

           Setting Video As Desktop Wallpaper

 1. Open VLC Media Player. If you don't have it download it frome Here.

 2. Then Go to Tools > Preference Or press CTRL + P and Selecet Video from left panel

 3. Then Choose DirectX video output from output dropdown list

      as shown in below image .

   4. Save the changes ans restart VLC Media Player.
   5. Play any video you would like to set as your desktop wallpaper.
   6. Then click on Video and select DirectX Wallpaper from the dropdown list as show in below image.

   7. Now Minimize vlc player and you will see your video running on your desktop aswallpaper.
   8. If you want your default wallpaper back then uncheck DirectX Wallpaper from video dropdown list.

Virus to Format Hard Disk !!!

                     Today i will show you how to make a virus to format Hard disk. You can send this file to your friend or enemy to format their Hard disk. But please dont try this on your own computer or else you will end up formatting your own computer.

How to block unblock websites ?

• Go to Start and then Run.
• Type in this C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
• Now you will see file name Host open that in Notepad.
• Below "127.0.0.1 localhost" add IP address of site to be blocked.
• To unblock any site just reversed the process.

Rename your Recycle bin

      

       1. Go to Start > Run
      2. Type in regedit this will open Registry Editor.
      3. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}
      4. Change "Recycle Bin" to whatever you want.

              This is very good and interesting javascript trick which let your computer speaks whatever you type. There is no requirement of any software. Just follow below simple steps.

• First open Notepad and copy below codes
•      Dim message, sapi
• message=InputBox("What do you want me to say?","COOL HACKING TRICKS")
•  Set sapi=CreateObject("sapi.spvoice")
• sapi.Speak message

• Now save the notepad file as talk.vbs

Remove thumbs.db

Thumb.db is a cache of the current picture in any directory that contains Picture files for example: .jpeg. To remove it ,navigate to:

1> open "WINDOWS EXPLORER".

2>go to "TOOLS".

3>open "FOLDER OPTIONS".

4>go to "VIEW".

5>see 1st section "FILES & FOLDERS".

6>click on the "DO NOT CACHE THUMBNAILS".

Now the thumbnail file will be removed from your 
computer once u do this the file will be never created.

  Hide Drives for security & Privacy

This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.

1.Go to start->run.Type regedit.Now go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Now in the right pane
create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive).
Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .
Now restart your computer.
So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone...).

To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.Again restart your computer.You can now see all the drives again.

Delete Autorun.inf Virus Manually using just Winrar

Once it happened to a friend of mine, when his 

newly bought laptop was infected with this 

autorun.inf virus. This virus corrupted almost all 

the  drives on the Hard disk, and when ever he 

tried to double click on the drive or opening  any 

drive it opened in a new window. In some cases, 

when your driveis infected with this Autorun.inf 

virus, you won’t be able to access the drive 

completely. You have to browse the drive by 

Exploring it i.e; Ctrl+E keys from the keyboard.

Sometimes ever you will not be able to see hidden

 files even if you have Show hidden files Enabled 

under Folder Options. well, this are all the wonders 

of this Autorun.inf virus.

I am going to show you this rare method of 

removing Autorun.inf manually using just winrar 

application, not any antivirus or malware programs.

Solution to Remove Autorun.inf Virus

Step 1: First Disable CD/DVD or USB Autorun in windows

Step 2: Open Winrar.exe  (Start–>All Programs–
>WinRar–>WinRar.exe)

Step 3: Now Browse to any drive that is infected 

with Autorun.inf virus using winrar explorer.

Step4: Here you will see all the hidden files under 

winrar for that particular drive.

Step 5: Look for the file Autorun.inf and open it 

using notepad.

Step 6: In that Autorun file, some .EXE file will be 

mentioned that will be executed along with the 

autorun file. This exe file is the main culprit.

Step 7: Note the exe file mentioned in the 

Autorun.inf file. Close this Autorun.inf file.

Step 8: Now look for that .Exe file in the drive (Ex: 

c:/), Delete that .exe file along with Autorun.inf

Step 9: Restart your Operating System. Now your 

system is free with Autorun.inf Virus.

Note: Repeat the same process if your Usb or 

Pendrives are infected with Autorun.inf virus.

For Safe Computing Disable CD/DVD or 

USB Autorun in windows

When ever you plug a usb device to the system or insert a cd/dvd disk, The windows Autorun Run utility runs and displays certain options like Open files to view, Play, Do nothing etc. Although this a good utility provided by windows xp operating system, It is sometimes very dangerous too. When A virus infected Usb drive or Cd is plugged into the system, the virus gets a chance to attack you Operating system, by running automatically when you plug your device in. So, for this safety purpose, we need to Disable this Autorun feature in windows XP.

Follow the below steps and ensure your systems safety.

1) Click Start –> Run and type  GPEDIT.MSC  –  This opens Group Policy editor window.

2) On the left side –> expand  Computer Configuration–> Administrative Templates–> System.

3)  Locate the entry for Turn autoplay off on the right side.

4) Double click it and select “Enabled”

Block a website address from opening

 in windows

127.0.0.1 www.google.com

127.0.0.1 www.yahoo.com

this trick will be helpful for those who want to 

block access to particular websites on their 

system.  Parents can block certain websites from 

their younger ones. It can also be used in schools 

and colleges etc….Well this trick is very 

simple and it goes this way.

1. Open MyComputer

2. Browse C:   (or your Operating system drive)

3. Browse Windows –>System32–>drivers–>etc

so the Location will be 

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

In the etc folder look for the file hosts

4. Open this file hosts with notepad.

5.  Locate the line 127.0.0.1 localhost

6. To block www.google.com for example, just 

add this text under

127.0.0.1  localhost:

7. Save the file.

In this way add any number of sites you want, 

however you will need to prefix it with 

“127.0.0.1″.

Note:  This blocks the website from opening in 

any browser whether it is Mozilla Firefox or 

Internet Explorer
